The Government of Bangladesh has appointed veteran journalist and television presenter Kazi Jesin as the new Director General (Grade-1) of Bangladesh Television (BTV) on a one-year contractual basis. The appointment was confirmed through a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration under the Bangladesh Television Authority Act, 2001.
According to the government notification, Kazi Jesin’s appointment will become effective from the date of joining. As part of the terms of the contract, she will be required to relinquish any other profession, business, or employment during her tenure.
