Asadul Ashrafi: Founder & CEO MindMela.
A wave of change is sweeping through Bangladesh’s education system, led by a young entrepreneur — Asadul Ashrafi, the founder of the online learning platform MindMela. His goal is not only to make learning easier but also to make it practical, interactive, and technology-driven. With a unique blend of educational psychology and technical expertise, he leads MindMela on a mission to make high-quality education accessible, practical, and future-oriented for all learners. Even senior figures are often left impressed by Ashrafi’s creativity, intelligence, and leadership.
Early Life and Education
Asadul Ashrafi was born on November 28, 2009, in Baheirmouj village, Kamalapur Union, under the Patuakhali district of Bangladesh’s Barishal Division. Though born in a village, he grew up in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
At the age of four, he started his education at Sat Mosque Ideal Institute, later moving to Chand Udyan Model Academy, another branch of the same institution. After passing the admission test, he joined his favorite school, Feroza Bashar Ideal College (FBIC).
On May 5, 2021, tragedy struck when his father passed away in a road accident. Following this, he and his family returned to their village, where he was admitted to Bashbaria Secondary School, run by his maternal family. He is currently a 10th-grade student, preparing to sit for the SSC examination in 2026.
The Birth of MindMela
MindMela was born from the realization that there was a gap between students and teachers in terms of effective connection and communication. The platform bridges this gap by providing students with high-quality, exam-oriented content and teachers with modern tools for effective teaching.
Under Ashrafi’s leadership, MindMela has become a symbol of educational innovation and reform in Bangladesh.
His Statement
Speaking about MindMela, Asadul Ashrafi said:
> “My teacher, Mr. Tapash Kumar, has played a significant role in advancing MindMela. His contribution is invaluable — he has supported me in many ways and also serves as the Academic Head of MindMela.
Our teacher panel includes several respected individuals such as Md. Sohan Talukder (University of Mymensingh), Md. Asibur Rahman (KUET), and Md. Sharif Islam, all of whom have contributed greatly to MindMela’s growth.
My two friends, Md. Naimul Islam and Rakesh Shikari, have also been major sources of inspiration.
Insha’Allah, with everyone’s collaboration, we will take this platform to new heights.”
He also added that anyone interested in joining MindMela is welcome — but they must be highly talented, intelligent, and creative.
Technical Expertise
Beyond being a young educator, Asadul Ashrafi is also a skilled cybersecurity specialist and Android ROM developer. He possesses deep expertise in system security, threat modeling, and performance optimization.
Alongside his proficiency in low-level Android development, he is also known as a poet and literary enthusiast.
Future Goals
His dream is to study Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at BUET, become a world-class software engineer, gain professional experience at Google, and ultimately establish a global software company with talented Bangladeshi youth.
He envisions founding a Bangladesh-based software company that will train local talent, create world-class products, and generate high-quality employment opportunities within the country.
Mission and Philosophy
Asadul Ashrafi’s mission is clear — to ensure that every Bangladeshi student has access to high-quality, teacher-led, and exam-oriented education, while encouraging a shift from rote learning to creativity and innovation.
He believes that the fusion of technology and human leadership can build a future where education is a right for all, not a privilege for a few.
